Bikini Competitor Skinny Sangria
Ok, the title might be a little misleading. NO such thing as a bikini competitor alcoholic beverage, but I promise, it's a good beverage!
I drink 1 gallon of water every day. Religiously! I don't skip a day of drinking one gallon. It is so important for hydration, energy, skincare, dieting, etc, But every now and then, I enjoy (and I really mean ENJOY) a sangria!

In my blog series about bikini prep, I dive headfirst on what my nutrition is like for the weeks leading to my competition. But I rarely talk about alcohol. It's one of those things that I try to avoid as much as possible. One drink once every blue moon will not make you gain weight and ruin your progress, but my issue is that I like to have 2 (sometimes 3.... don't judge me please :P)
To enjoy an alcoholic beverage every now and then without feeling guilty about ruining my dieting phase, I turned to my friend Pinterest and searched for some good recipes but then made some changes to make sure that I don't drink too many calories.

Skinny Sangria
I really wanted to call it Sangria Chris....but let's just leave it at Skinny Sangria.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup frozen berry mix
4 ounces red wine (I use Stella Rosa Red Wine)
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce orange juice
3 ounces strawberry sparkling water
Ice
Instructions
Place the mixed berries at the bottom of your glass.
Add the orange juice and lemon juice and mix.
Add the wine.
Add some ice.
Add the sparkling water.
Enjoy this guilt-free refreshing beverage!

I love playing around with ingredients to create some diet-friendly cocktails and beverages. Not only they taste great but you can enjoy it without worrying too much about "cheating on your diet". Plus, I do this at home, so it can help you enjoy your favorite drink without spending too much money.
Remember, great beverages shouldn't cost a fortune!
